Get Your Leno On!

As in Jay Leno???

Sadly, no.

As in my husband, who is not as enthusiastic about Christmas as I am.

Don't get me wrong, he is not a scrooge and he lets me submerse myself in all that is Christmas starting the day after Halloween.

Ok, so I start a little earlier that, but he lets me, he makes fun of me, but still lets me go about all my craziness.
(Actually this applies to all the crazy ideas that I ever come up).

So,

to occupy his time and find little ways to irratate me,

he gets his Leno on.

Here is what I mean....

I purchased these cute little letters at an antique shop to spell out NOEL.

Simple, easy decorating right?

Well, this is what I wake up to on some mornings..

LEON is his favorite!

How many words can you make from NOEL?

He thinks that he is pretty funny and I actually have to laugh when I see him giggling!

He is lucky that he has really cute dimples!!

Why I am showing you this other than to show you how my husband sometimes acts like a child?

Well, I think that almost every one of us has "endure" some one else's craziness at times, and how do we cope?

We find little and harmless, and I repeat harmless ways to amuse ourselves!!!

So if you find yourself in a time period that is not your ideal situation....

GET YOUR LENO ON!!!!

Have a wonderful weekend!

  1. What a cute story! That is so funny. I know most husbands probably do not enjoy the house arranging during the holidays but put up with it! - I just like how your husband has had some great fun with it and that he thinks he is pretty funny.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

  5. I cannot believe it! Your husband is so much like my husband.....he laughs at what I do all the time...and I mean that. I seriously do NOT know why he thinks what I do is so funny.

I would have woken up to the same thing. I find little additions and momentos added to or taken away from my stuff all the time...

I am actually in shock that there is another husband out there like that, and it makes me fee better.

Do you remeber my 'I love you' Scrabble tiles?

They've been a whole host of other words now thanks to my Mister. :-)

I keep trying to tell him that it's meant to be romantic!!!

Cute dimples can get a man out of a lot of trouble, can't they?!!!

  15. hahahaha, we used to do that ALL the time to my grandma and she would get SO mad! We'd go around singing "The First Noel" but with "Leon" replacing it. One of my favorite Christmas memories growing up! I'm DEFINITELY going to do this.

I've seen your name on all of the blogs I've commented on tonight, so I think it's safe to say we have similar taste! ;) Following!

  35. HAHA I love it! Our hubby's must be brothers because mine does the same thing. I have a skeleton magnet set with magnetic letters on the fridge, he will NOT let me take the skeleton down so it stays up all year, but every once in awhile he will change the skeletons position and make it do weird things and then put a caption above it. He loves seeing my reactions whenever I finally notice it, and ive taken a picture of it every time too, some of them just aren't appropriate to put on here! lol
so just know, that you are not alone!
I am your newest follower too, I love your blog! :)
