Bears, Packers and Lions Oh My!

Happy Sunday everyone!
Well, fall is officially upon us
and that also means football!!!
I love to watch football on Sundays afternoons, chili in hand, sitting by the fire and cheering on my team!

DA BEARS!!!!!!

How is it that I love the Bears when I live in Michigan?
Shouldn't I be a Lions fan?
My dad is from Chicago, so growing up we would always watch the Bears play.
I even think my dad still has the tape of the Bears back when they won Super Bowl 20 in 1985.

How could not love the Super Bowl Shuffle!!!

Also my hubby is a die-hard Bears fan so it was all meant to be. :)

Now I am not a crazy-in-your-face fanatic but I have my moments.
SO, today my friend Ryan from Two Starfish Seafood are posting together because, well, he is a Packers fan!
We thought it would be fun to get a little friendly blog rivalry going here.

Packer and Bears are footballs longest rivalry starting back in 1921 and their games are always exciting to watch just for that fact.
Their last meeting ended up to Green Bay and actually Green Bay won 4 of the last 5.
DA BEARS still lead with 92 wins to Green Bays 84.
Talk about a lot of games played
As it stands this season Bears are 1-1 and Green Bay is 2-0.

So Ryan, my friend, I am feeling it my bones...
Packers are

Even though my hubby is a huge Cubs fan, for football he is a fan of the Packers, not the Bears. I know he's going to have alot of fun watching the game. I hope you do too! I think I may go shopping instead. ;)

I don't really watch a lot of pro football, but I usually hope the Lions win. Wish nothing but the best for Suh!

College football is a different story, though! I'm so happy that my Huskers are 4-0 for the season so far!

I have to say that your new mantelpiece fire surround is utterly gorgeous! It looks completely at home and I love the way you've styled it!

I LOVE football...but I'm a die hard COWBOYS fan! It comes from living in Texas for most of my adult life AND having 4 sons! One of my sons even works at the Cowboy stadium! I told my hubby today that I'm probably one of the few women that LOVE to hear a football game going in the background on a Sunday afternoon! heehee! So I guess's ME and YOU! ♥♥♥

Sorry Michelle, Da Bears are going down today! And I'm FROM Chicago! Go figure. I'm just not a Bears fan. Go Packers! Sorry! LOL I'm curious which area of Chicago your dad is from? I grew up on the Northwest Side.

Haha! I'll go for the Bears over the Packers any day. However, our home team is the Seahawks :) It's funny you talk about chili, we have it cooking in the crockpot as we speak :) I love FALL! Have a wonderful Sunday.

(i grew up cheering on da bears, but we are a viking household all the way, and i can't sit still long enough to watch an entire game but i'm really good at feeding the sports fans).

We have our grand final this week here in Sydney. To me it's a week to be got through as Mr Beach House dominates the TV. Oh well more time for blogging I guess. Have a great week and Happy Fall to you.

Don't worry! The Chicago Bears are my favourite too! When I was a really little kid I remember having this Chicago bears badge that I'd found. No idea why! But I liked the badge. So they have to be my team too even though I don't watch your so called "football" and I do not even watch Australian "football" either.. blah. But I loved that badge! haha

The Packers and the Bears - - you can't get any better than that. The games are ALWAYS fun to watch. I confess to being a die hard Packer fan (hope we can still be friends!!!). Next match up - - Christmas Day. Talk about a great present. Can't wait.
