I first told you about my daughters room re-do here and the promise that I made to her.
Well, this month she is making her another big step towards peaceful nights and better sleeps.
We will get through this if it kills me, which some nights I though it was going to.
Anyway, this is going to be the first project of the new year for me!!!
Here is a picture of her wonderfully clean and oraginzed room.
Yeah, Hannah has to go!!
Sorry kiddos!
Actually this is clean for her and her bed is made!
The first thing is her headboard.
I already took down the canopy.
My Papa actually made that for me when I was a little girl and then she had it for a while. Maybe I can incorporate into her room somehow, we will see.
Here are my inspirations
Jane Coslick has wonderful furniture and beach inspired items. I beleive, if my memory serves me right Layla, from The Lettered Cottage, used some of her designs and inspirations while down on Tybee Island and you can see here in their e-zine.
I plan on using her current frame and try to make this as easy on myself as possible!
Off to Home Depot soon!!!

Hello, I am your new follower. I am from Norway and I really like your blog :)
Great inspiration to start from Michelle. I now need to get going on my daughter's room as promised as well. At least you don't need to take down wallpaper! That is my first task! Good luck at Home Depot! Laura
I bet your daughter is super excited about her new room. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
I like the direction you're taking with the Coastal theme. I'm sure you will have fun picking out things for the room together. If the bed is made... it's clean in my book :) Have fun! xx ~Michelle

Agreed. Take Hanna off the wall. She obviously is following other little starletts. So sad.
Anyhoo, I love that little canopy. It is the cutest little thing I have seen in a long time.
You have so many treasured blogs to glean from..I cannot wait to see what you come up with.

Oh that would be such a nice and cool room for your daughter:) Do share pictures when you're done with the makeover.
Should be a fun project! Looking forward to the big reveal!!
Oh what fun....my daughter's room is due for a redo..upgrade too....can't wait to see what you come up with. Love your blog! xoxoxo Happy new week....and year!
Super fun! I can't wait to see what you do :)
I would much rather do a teen girls room then a teen boys room. My youngest is in need of a new bed, mattress really, so I said we'd redo his room. It's not a big room but being 6'2" I have to get another queen or he'll be sleeping in a fetal position. He is not one for wild ideas so we'll see how it goes. Can't wait to see what you come up with.
Loving your ideas. Can't wait until you share what you do. Keept us posted for sure.
Oh Michelle, that turquoise head board and striped pillows are just the perfect thing for a summer getaway cottage!
HAVE A GREAT DAY! Anita
Oh dear! I think my Hannah Days are coming....how long do they last?
Love the headboard idea! She's a lucky girl!
Be prepared for the next step... a huge heart made out of tear outs of "hot guys" from magazines!! Back in 1997 mine was filled with long haired grunge-y looking guys wearing flannel shirts....I'll bet my mother loved it! Glad I'm out of that phase ;)
Have a great week
Kelle

I'm excited to see the magic you create in your daughters room. When you are done with her room, want to come and so my kids rooms??? ; )
Can't wait to see the transformation! I'm sure it will be wonderful!!
Sounds like fun. Decorating for a daughter. Mine are long grown and do their own decorating now.

Hey if you get caught up in Home Depot(I can walk around for hours in there or Lowe's), just send up a flare, I'll come find you...just might take me a couple of meandering aisles first! Love the ideas you have thus far, can't wait to see the results!
