In A Nutshell..

WOW!!!!!
Can I just tell you what a warm day does to ones soul?!!

I have been waiting for this...

for what seems like FOREVER!! :)
Warm breezes finally came through the house. It was almost 80 here today and we loved it!

Last week was pretty good.
It didn't start off so well with my little one being sick and we missed out on an indoor waterpark and then we had icky weather, a few bumps in the road with some appointments and then I had to work.

BUT,

We did find some time in between to

climb some trees....

take many rides out to the beach and the docks....

give a little scale a makeover...

put up a gallery wall in the family room....

and just relax a bit!!

It was a nice break and much needed because the upcoming weeks are going to be BUSY!!
Spring sports have started and that means that not only does my oldest play but so does my little one, so we will be here and there and everywhere!
I love it though, it is so fun to watch them play, learn and have fun. :)

I have missed you and can't wait to catch up and please bare with me if I am a bit late on commenting and responding and posting.

I also want to apologize for the sending out emails that had to do with Shoppybag. I tried to catch it as soon as I could and let you know and hopefully I didn't break anyones computer. :(

If you signed up I would delete your account and change your email settings to not allow that site. If you need more info, please let me know and again I am REALLY sorry!!!

Hopefully I will be back soon to show you what we did today over this:

I also wanted to thank Marie from Sally Lee By The Sea and Heather and Vanessa from At the Picket Fence for featuring my beachy redos!

Thank you so much ladies!!
Please stop by and say hello, you will find yourself surrounded with so much inspiration and friendship. :)

Also, if you have not read, my friend Marcia from Blessed Mom's Simple Home has a nephew, Jordan, who was wounded severely in Afghanistan and is now home in the states undergoing surgeries to repair what was done. Please read here about what had happened and also here to see the latest update and an address to send him some birthday wishes this month. If you could send up some prayers as well, that would be even better. :)

See you soon!!

Hi Michelle! What a sweet post today! I love the wind blowing your curtains. Would you believe we still have a bit of snow here and there? I remember what the days were like when I ran kids non-stop. Now I run grandkids !;>) some things never really change!

I need to do a post about Jordan too...thank you for reminding me! Hugs and Happy Sunday evening-Diana

Those sheer white curtains blowing in the breeze really truly makes me miss mine. In our home before Sea Cottage I have them hanging in every window in every room and there is nothing like it when the breeze is twirling them so gently around the room. Sounds like you've had a wonderful spring break...ours is not for another week.

Hi sweet friend!
How are you? I don't even know if I remember how to comment. It's been a week. Geesh... It really feels weird to be on here. Hey, I love your gallery wall and scale makeover! Your house looks amazing! I mean seriously... I'm in love with your dark wood floors and white furniture. Everything looks so light and airy. You are so lucky to live by the beach and docks. Beautiful! Glad to hear you're getting some nice weather and had a little fun on the side. My middle son, John, would love to hang out in the tree with your kids.
Hope you feel HAPPY and refreshed!!! I missed you!

Well.. I just love those curtains floating in the breeze!! beautiful.. and love the way you have hung the curtains.. creates a feel that the windows fall all the way to the floor!!!.. now if I just had a window worth looking at I'd do the same... will save up that idea for the 'some day files'..

Sorry to hear your little one was unwell.. looking fighting fit now climbing the trees.. I was the same at her age.. always up a tree.. over a fence. on top of the fridge.. hahaha [really]

Ok.. beautiful images and decor as always... I can feel spring in the air over your way.. have a lovely week.. ciao xxxx Julie

Almost 80??!! You are a very lucky girl! Although we don't get a lot of snow around here, we do take our time getting into spring and summer. LOVE the photo of the curtains in the warm breeze...that is exactly the look I want in my sewing/guest room and it took me a couple of trys to get it just right.

Your new picture/gallery wall looks fabulous! Enjoy your spring sports, it will all be over before you know it... my "kids" are 21 and 23 and I never thought I'd say this but I miss those days! Even the rainy ones ;)

Hello friend! I am trying desperately to not be jealous of your awesome weather...really, trying! :-) But what perfect timing for it to come while your kiddos were on break and for you guys to get to do so many fun things and get some stuff done around the house too. Everything is looking just gorgeous and I love the "gallery" you created on that wall! My kiddos absolutely love to climb trees as well and it just does my heart good to see them enjoying such a simple pleasure. :-) Glad to have you back and can't wait to see more of your projects!

Hello Michelle!

Those pictures are heavenly! I love the curtains blowing in the breeze, wish it was happening here! But it is still WAY too cold to open the windows here. :)

Your fireplace is so pretty, every time I look at it I sigh. It fits in your room so well, you'd swear it is a real wood burning fireplace. :) I have been wanting to add one to our bedroom for three years now, but am still looking for a mantel on Craigslist I can afford, that I "catch" in time. I love how you took a shelf and created a mantel...may have to "copy" you on this one! :)

How is your day going? I hope it is a wonderful one for you, my friend! :)

Blessings and hugs,
Jenni

Okay snow near the end of April girl!!?? It is 90 here today and we are blowing up the pool tomorrow and chilling!:) Sorry abt kitty! I would freak if one of my cats started to do that. I had worries when they moved from downstairs in the laundry room to the upstairs bath that is not used. Thankfully they are fine. Love the new mantel display! Can't wait to redo mine!
