Sand and Sea Sunday - Fathers Day

This past week was pretty gloomy and rainy but that didn't stop the kids and I from taking our morning drives out to the lake.
These are just a few pictures we took of the dense fog coming over Lake Michigan.

The marina almost looks haunted but in a romantic kind of way.
I am the only the that sees that?
:)

This little one now comes with us, she does not do very well all alone yet.
I am pretty sure she is enjoying herself.

I also wanted to say Happy Fathers Day!

This is my dad, still skiing at the age of 69!
(my mom still skies too but she would hurt me if I showed you, maybe one day she will let me.
Love you mom!!)

Thank you daddy for all you have done for me.
You encourage me
believe in me
walk beside me
catch me when I fall
pick me back up
dust me off
guide me
love me no matter what

You are my hero
my rock
and I will forever be 12 in your eyes and you know what, I am really ok with that now.
I love you more!

Linking up to Sand and Sea Sunday at the Gypsea Nurse!

I love the pictures you took! The foggy marina is wonderful. You little guy looks so cute hanging out the window.

Your dad is great on skis. Way to go dad! My dad played tennis into his 80's. I did not inherit that from him though.

It´s raining here today so I´m glad I was weeding and such yesterday - makes it OK to just stay inside today..! :-)

I did not think it would happen, but it did. I wept when I saw how you thanked your DADDY. I called my dad that 'til the moment he died, 25 years ago, two weeks from today. TODAY is when my mom passed. May you treasure every second with this gracious and most athletic man. I cannot believe how BLUE Lake Michigan is dearest! You are living in paradise! BISES MA BELLE! Hey sweetie! What beautiful photos of the lake! That fog really does make it look mysterious and spooky - but just awesome. :) That pic of Baja just melted my heart. You can see the lonesomeness in her eyes, yet - poor little thing. And your dad just rocks! Holy moly! :) That photo of you two is just adorable.... ♥

Good morning sweet one,

GLEN LAKE? Wow, it is one of the bluest American lakes I have ever seen! We have marvelous lakes here, strewn all over the Metro area, let alone the entire state of Minnesota, but none so blue. Enjoy your trip up North with everyone! I trust your Sunday was splendid! MUCH LOVE TO YOU MICHELLE, Anita

Your dad sounds like an amazing person. I hope to be skiing at his age.

Oddly, misty gray harbors brighten my mood rather than turn me melancholy. I appreciate gray more as I become older.

Lovely post. Great to see your dad skiing. He's only 4 years older than my hubbie, who is also a water skier.
