Kitchen Reveal!!!

When I started the kitchen re-re-redo I thought, along with my hubby, that I was crazy to do this again...and again, but I have to tell you I LOVE my kitchen!!! I love how clean and cozy it looks now. We seem to spend a lot of time in the kitchen so now I feel like I can really relax, unwind and visit with family and friends here.

Here is what it looked like about a month ago (I liked my beachy kitchen but I just needed something a little different)

beach inspired kitchen

And now...

I absolutely LOVE the wall (see here how I did it and at Miss Mustard Seed Creations is where I got the inspiration to do it)

I still need to finish the cabinet above the microwave. I am not putting the doors on it again but I would like to put either curtains up or I have been eye balling some barn wood frames that would fit perfectly up there!

I used cheese cloth towels for the curtains here and

here.
I don't sew very well but I can at least sew straight lines! I tacked the lazy suzan curtain up with furniture tacks.

I ended up painting the ladder the same color as the hutch and I like it better than the blue.

I still need to add some soft touches, a couple pillows here and some rugs there, but I am really happy with the way that everything turned out!

I kept a lot of my beachy pieces and displayed them already and some I will transform to fit the new kitchen or find a new home for them somewhere in the house!

I just want to thank all of you for your kind comments and suggestions through my kitchen transformation.

Bloggy friends are the best!!!

It always amazes me how little changes can make such a huge difference. I love that this is a re-re-redo. I think that is the current state of my entire house. My husband has finally learned that things are never really done.

I have finally made it to your blog! I want to thank you for all of your visits to Sea Cottage and all your lovely comments. You have cheered my day so many times. Thank you. Now I will have to take a look around. Your new kitchen look is wonderful. I am doing much of the same...more white, sand, and grey...less blue and aqua...and pink. I will have to keep that drop cloth idea in mind~amazing!

I agree with Red Door Home, it is amazing that just a few changes can make such a difference. When I saw the before pictures I was thinking what else can she do or would even want to do. But I do like your changes. I really like the gray you added. I've been eyeing a few pieces that that I'm thinking might need a coat of gray.

Thanks for visiting my blog, hope you'll come back.

Joyfully,
Elizabeth Ann

Well, let's try this again... don't know if the first one stuck.

I'm loving the calm colors, the hutch, & the overall vibe of your gentle redo. Your kitchen says "iced tea, or lemonade?" What a joy it must be to cook in this pretty space.

Look incredible, and your sitting area is to die for. Im relaxed just looking at it, wow, it turned out SUPER, and doesn't look like it was much work, more rearranging, and removing drawer fronts. Very clever. Michelle I am hosting a new party, so if you are up to a new one, gosh I would love to consider linking up to mine also. Thanks for the refreshing reveal, its great. :)

It all looks so pretty. I am trying to envision where the scale might go. Can't wait to find out. I can't imagine why you don't want it to be bright green! : ) I am about to go send it now.

Don't mind me. I'm just lurking around your blog. I love the two different colors on the cabinets. What is the name of the blue? The gray hutch is pretty awesome too.

Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such a sweet comment! I absolutely love everything you've done with your home, it's gorgeous! I'll follow you if you follow me!! LOL. I keep seeing ruffles on all the great cottage blogs, they are definitely growing on me! I'm thinking of making a ruffled shower curtain in a while linen. Your ruffled duvet cover is perfect! Love it!
Cheers!
