A Birthday Break and A Blogger Friend

Hello there my friends.
I hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

I just wanted to come by and tell you that I am taking a little break this week/weekend and will be mostly away from my computer. (I will be around just not as much)

I am very far behind on house work, very far!
I need to finish up on painting, clean rugs, blah, blah and
along with work (YUCK) and hopefully we are getting our floors (YEAH!!!)

BUT most importantly,

FRIDAY

it is my daughters birthday, and not just any birthday (although all birthdays are special) because she will be a

TEENAGER!!!!!

OH I am not ready for this! :)

I can't believe that she is growing so fast

My beautiful little baby girl

who loves life,

loves to goof around,

is quiet and gentle,

has grown a love for a special place,

who's smile lights up my world,

and Oh!
Oh yes,
there is the face that I seem to get more and more!! :)

With everything that she has been dealing with over the last few years, she is such a beautiful young lady who loves with all her heart, finds the beauty in everything and is my pocket-full of sunshine!

Happy Birthday baby!
We love you more than you know!!!

So for the remainder of the week we will be doing some special things with her and making her first steps into the wonderful world of 'teenagers' as special as possible!

I also wanted to thank my friend Julie from Being Ruby who surprised me one day with an idea for a new button!

Julie, who shares a love of the sea, is so creative and writes and photographs beautiful images that inspire me every time I visit her!
I loved her creations and chose one for my new button, I love it and it suites me perfectly!

It is on my sidebar so feel free to grab it and please make sure you go say hi to Julie, you will be inspired and leave with a smile on your face and your heart.

Thank you so much Julie!

I will be back Monday to show you some progress from our Family Room!

(sneaky peak of the hall)

Have a wonderful week and weekend!!

HUGS!

Enjoy your time and your daughter. My son will become a teen next month. Your daughter is so beautiful. You need a big stick to beat off the boys! You can paint it white and it will look good in the corner by your front door.

Good luck getting all your chores done. It is a mountain I seem to never be able to climb! I am very excited to see your new floors soon. But not as excited as I'm sure YOU are!

MICHELLE! THIS IS STUNNING! Such beauty here with your daughter (WOWOWWW...) and then your hallway is done. HOW DID YOU DISTRESS THE DOORS???? Dearest, take a break. We all need it. We all have been going 100 miles per hour during the harshest winter and we need to stop a bit. I will miss you, but you will be so rested up! PEACE AND LOVE TO YOU ALL! Anita

Your daughter is so pretty. And she looks very athletic as well. I'm in no rush for my "baby" to grow up. She's 3 1/2 now, and it took SO long to make her (9 1/2 yrs.), that I don't want to "lose" her. Sniff! Sniff!

Oh Michelle,

Sooooooo good to know you had a great little break off and that it was well spent with your beloved family!!! Now is your weather cooperating? We are getting melt, so that is good, but the weekend was gray. HOWEVER, I don't know why, but those gray days make me happy!!! I think 'cause I can stay in, write, draw, play HOUSE or just relax....thank you dear one for coming to visit my post! I know, when I am away for at least ONE DAY, I feel as if I have missed EVERYONE and their worlds so much! I will be on spring break for a whole week next week and I am so excited. We did more picture hanging this weekend and it was sooooo fun. It is amazing how a little rearranging can change everything. I wish you a perfect day today dear friend!!! BISOUS, Anita

Michelle I hope your baby girl had a wonderful bday this past Friday!! They do grow up so fast but I am thankful that my baby boy will only be 7 this Wed. It seems like yesterday I was pushing him around in the stroller. Oh and love the living room color!! I am thinking of painting our master a similar color. I was gonna go green but over the weekend at Lowes found two gallons of the same creamy color so it got me thinking.....

Such a beautiful young lady and such a wonderful time in her life. Our son turned nineteen last week, one daughter is sixteen and one is eight. Teenage years can be tough, but oh they are such a blessing also. My teenagers are my best friends. Even with all the hormones changing and with the attitudes on certain days, I love all the life changes that they are going through. One thing I have learned is that you should never act surprised or mortified by anything that they tell you. Even if you are dying inside, just keep it together and listen to them. You always want them to feel like they can come to you about anything.

Okay, you didn't ask for any of that teenage advice, but I felt led to share it.

Bless you, my friend, and your lovely birthday girl.
