I'm In Love...

with mercury glass!!!!

I don't know what it is I love best...

the soft glow that they give off from a nearby candle..

the various pattern of each piece or the way it can

transform even the simplest of elements into

into something of pure beauty.

I picked up the mercury glass acorns at Walmart for $1.00 each!!

I know!

$1.00!!!!

I also picked up the pine cones that are scented with cinnamon there as well!!

My living room smells so good!

I think that mercury glass will be something that I will be incorporating into the Christmas decor this year!

I actually sorted through some of my Christmas things today and will start putting some out little by little starting this week.

I am not hosting Thanksgiving so I will enjoy the season a little earlier this year!

I can just feel the joy in my hubby's heart right now!!
(he is rolling his eyes)

Love the acorns and holy smoke, a dollar. Don't know yet what song this is, but loving it. BTW, the other day I didn't realize that I had left your page open and I couldn't figure out why I was hearing Neil Diamond! Brought me right back to my childhood and my Mom listing to Neil! Thanks for the laugh!

You did good finding those acorns. They look really good. I was thinking about the bottles and since I got the other 2 from West Elm I don't think I need anymore right now, but thanks. I HAVE to clean out some of my supplies soon. I feel like a hoarder right now!

Ok I need those Walmart silver acorns - so cute!! Yes yes, love mercury glass, too! Did you know it's called "Poor Man's Silver", too? I think that's cute! The warm glow they give off with candle light is truly opulent. I bought a few mercury glass votive sized candleholders at Michael's last week; very reasonable prices on them!

LOL! My mom called me this morning to let me know that she's been hauling boxes out of storage all morning long. She claims since were having Thanksgiving at my house this year, it's offically Christmas in her's. Darn my big mouth - that will teach me to volenteer to host Thanksgiving!

I'm in love with mercury glass too! I haven't been to check out Walmarts decorations yet - that tomorrow's new plan. You can bet I'll be looking for a few of those adorable acorns!

I did pick up a few mercury glass votives at Target this past weekend and have been enjoying them the past few days.
