Yesterday was a typical HOT and HUMID day in Michigan so last night we decided to go to the beach to cool down!
The water was warm but still refreshing and there was a slight breeze which was enough to cool you off a bit.
I LOVE to run my toes through the sand!!
We took a walk down the beach to see what we could see. Now you know how much I love driftwood....if I could, I would so take this home!!
There is a house on this beach that is one of my favorite! It reminds me of a house on The Cape. The outside is perfect in every way. I so would love to see the inside!
We started to make our way back as the sun was setting.
(had to get a picture of the driftwood tree again)
But nights like this quickly remind me that I am only a stones throw away from witnessing nature at one of its best and all its beautiful array of colors.

Wow what a gorgeous sunset!!!
Michelle, I love your post. I grew up in Ohio so have been to Michigan many times. Your photos are amazing - during this cold windy blizzard here in Massachusetts in December, your post brought me for just a moment to a wonderful and warm summer day at the beach! Thank you so much! You're right, the house you love so much would be very much at home on the Cape.
I'm your newest follower. I hope you'll stop by my blog for a visit and consider following me too :) Looking forward to reading more of your posts!

Amazing pictures! I love that house as well.
Hi Michelle, hopping over from Maya's. I'm glad you chose this post to share for her link up, it's one I missed.
I'm always amazed at how Lake Michigan seems so much like the ocean. So vast, so beachy, so beautiful. Love these images, & am imagining sitting by that fire, enjoying the night air.
Sweet evening to you,
Julia~
