Weekend and A Feature

This weekend I did a little bit of everything..

We watched some volleyball!

My daughter is #2!

It is 7th grade, they are all so cute and little!

We roasted marshmallows!

This is how I love mine....put it in the fire and let burn until is it crispy!!!

mmmmmmmm!!!!

I wanted to show you how cozy my living room is at night with the fire going!
My friend dear Tracy, from Tracy's Trinkets and Treasures posted about enjoying what you have.
(click here to see her brief, but oh so true post)

So, I did just that!
Last night and again tonight.
I feel so relaxed and cozy in my little living room with the roaring fire.

(Linking to Bright, Bold and Beautiful to show my favorite cozy spot)

I also wanted to feature what my beautiful friend Deborah, from With all my Heart..Deborah, made last week with her hubby.

He found these shutters on the side of the road and picked them up for her (knowing how much she loves shutters)

SO sweet!

Together they turned someone else's trash into her treasure!!

Isn't is gorgeous!!!??

When I saw how these came together my jaw dropped! It looks like something out of Pottery Barn!!!

Take a minute and go say hi to her, she is so sweet and the title of her blog describes her perfectly! You also have to see her pieces that she filled up the shelf with, if you love the beach, these are a must see!!

She also inspired me to go get those closet bi-fold doors out of my shed and do something with them.

So, I did!

Come back and I will show you what I made!!

Looks like you had a wonderful weekend Michelle! I absolutely love that picture of your children roasting marshmallows...so sweet, and it reminds me of my children when they were that age!

And that shutter bookcase is wonderful. I can't wait to see what you do with your own project!

It's so fun to watch their games isn't it. I'm not much of a sports fan, but I love watching my boys play soccer.

I was at Habitat Restore last week looking for solid bifold doors just like yours to make a bookshelf for my daughters room. I wonder if that is what you are going to do. I'm just a wee bit jealous of your doors...but I'll get over it LOL! Can't wait to see what you do.

I like my roasted marshmallows all crispy and black too! We have a gas fireplace(boooo) so I only get to enjoy them when we go camping.
I look forward to seeing what you made with your bifold doors. :)

I so want to be on that lounger next to your fire and eating a crispy marshmallow. That's how I like them too! Your kiddos are cuties. I am glad you enjoyed your night. I haven't made a fire yet, but this week is suppose to get colder.

Wow, roasting the mellows already!? My boys would be sooo in heaven if it were cool enough for that! They keep asking but 70 just isn't quite cool enough yet for me!;)

Found your beautiful world while clicking away in blogland. Gorgeous living room! We're waiting for the roof to be fixed, and then some updates to our living room. Can't wait...so it's fun to find some inspiration. :)

LOL! Looks like you love your marshmellows as blackened as I do, Michelle! lol! Yummy! And what an idea way to roast them - in out of the cold. Your living room IS so very warm and cozy - and very pretty, too! Your curtains on the windows are just adorable.

OK - so hurry up and do something with those doors. We're all waiting.....! lol!

Hi Michelle! It's been way too long since I popped over for a visit! Our weekends sound pretty much the same! :) Our girlie is playing fall volleyball and I had some fun projects too. Love all your inspiration posts and what you've been making.

Nothing like sitting around with the family with a roaring fire. Not cold enough here yet so thanks for sharing yours!

Love the shelf that Deborah made with the bifolds. I may just have to put something similar together to solve my laundry room problem.

How fun to roast marshmallows in your living room! Nothing says cozy like a roaring fire and crispy marshmallows :-)

The shutter project that Deborah and her hubby created looks great. Love the turquoise :-)

Have fun with your bifold door project :-)
